Marty and Blankie step onto the first step of the staircase leading to the upper floor, then they cry out in fright. The stairs begin to shake and to move upward.
"It's a moving staircase, Blankie! I wasn't expecting things like that!"
"But it's better to be prepared for anything, Marty."
On the upper floor, they find a long corridor with doors on both sides. One of the doors is open, but just as they reach the floor, it slams shut with a loud bang. Marty flinches nervously. He is no longer as confident.
