The race begins, the and the driving confidently in the middle of the field. Lap after lap, the field is thinning out. A flat tire here, an overheated radiator there, and a nasty collision somewhere else.
The point is that Marty and Blankie find themselves at the head of the field, where they fight tenaciously. To everyone's surprise, the and the are finishing first place head to head.
